Picnic Byron Bay

Staying in Byron Bay is a great opportunity to have lots of time outdoors in nature and there’s plenty of spots to picnic and barbecue in Byron Bay and surrounds.

Apex Park Byron Bay

Located adjacent Main Beach, under the shade of the Norfolk Pines is a large children’s playground, park benches, barbecues and picnic tables. Located within Denning Park just a 5 minute walk from central Byron.

Wategos Beach Byron Bay

This popular sheltered north-facing beach has free electric barbecues and picnic tables with picturesque views of the bay, lay out your picnic blanket on the grassy knoll or under a Pandanus  tree along the beach front. 7 minute drive from central Byron or pack your backpack and sunscreen for a half an hour walk to this stunning location.

Broken Head

Terrace Reserve, Brunswick Terrace. With a children’s playground suitable for small children, plus plenty of swing sets further along the river to keep all the children happy. This beautiful green reserve has Brunswick River frontage, picnic facilities, amenities and BBQ’s.

Bangalow

Come exploring in a picturesque town, this little gem has been restored and features much of the original 19th century buildings with their grand verandas overhanging the main street. Come and visit this stunning little town, boutique shopping, galleries, restaurants and cafes plus there’s lots of places to picnic.

For ideal picnic location you can’t go past Lake Ainsworth, nestle in under the trees along the banks of the lake, swim, paddle board or kayak the lake. Barbecue and picnic facilities with amenities are offered. The surf lifesaving club across the way is where you can get a cold drink or a coffee should you feel plus the beach you have access to the beach. It’s an ideal playground for children and adults alike.
