The Lismore Lantern Parade is an annual community arts festival held on the Winter Solace (on or around the longest night of the year). This year the event will be held on Saturday the 21st of June, 2014.
Over 25,000 visitors attend the event every year and the festival celebrates community, art and nature through workshops, arts, crafts, regional cuisine, a spectacular parade, lanterns, parade bands, street theatre, music, carnival dancers, illuminated puppets, fine art, pyrotechnics and more.
The festival takes place in the heart of Lismore CBD and local businesses actively participate in the festival by decorating their windows to complement the theme of the year. They also provides great specials and deals for visitors.
