Cape Byron Kayaking With The Dolphins

Well considered the best way to check out Byron Bay from a whole new perspective is to paddle your own kayak to see dolphins, turtles and whales on a guided tour with the crew at Cape Byron Kayaks.

Cape Byron Kayak’s is Australian owned and operated by Alice Livingston, who has been involved with the business since inception in 1996. Their guides are kayakers, surfers, self proclaimed local historians and excellent water folk. They know Byron Bay well and are the best guides in the business.

They offer two person, sit-on-top-style kayaks, which are designed for ease of use, stability and most importantly no prior experience is necessary.

Where they go

  • We leave from Clarks Beach and follow the coastline out to the Cape
  • We catch up with our dolphin friends at Wategos Beach
  • We stop at Wategos Beach for a morning tea / afternoon tea
  • We snorkel at Middle Reef with the rays and turtles
  • We surf the waves We keep you entertained the whole time making your experience a safe and memorable one

Take in some of the best sights the East Coast has to offer. Learn about local history, aboriginal history, the lighthouse, dolphins, whales and turtles. See the Most Easterly Point of the Australian mainland. This is all part of your Byron Bay sea kayak experience with Cape Byron Kayaks.

Morning or afternoon tea which consists of: coffee, tea, Milo, bottled water, and Tim-Tams. This should be more than enough to get you back into the action!

All safety gear is supplied: life-jackets, helmets, and wetsuits (if necessary) and free transportation to/from your accommodation.

All you need is your sense of adventure, your swimmers and some suncream. On the very rare occasion that we don’t see dolphins, turtles or whales you get a FREE return trip!

Prices $69.00 per adult, $59.00 per child (under 12)

Tours run daily:
