The Byron Writers Festival is an innovative and nationally acclaimed festival, now celebrating its 22nd year! The festival brings writers together with the wider community to share, do workshops, and inspire one another; what better place to do all this than Byron Bay!
Byron Writers Festival is set in seven beautiful white marquees where you can be part of writer’s conversations, panels, readings, lectures and book launches.
See your favourite authors speak as they share their creative processes and more; then following the session most authors will be doing a book signing where you can meet your favourite authors in person and get their autograph.
There is an official and impressive bookshop selling all the titles from the authors invited to attend and present at the festival.
On Sunday, one of the marquees becomes a children’s authors marquee where children can meet their favourite story tellers. What better way to integrate the love of literature than a face to face meeting with some of our amazing children's writers.
The festival runs from 9am-5pm daily with most sessions going for about 1hr, you can sit and listen or wander between the marquees and catch some of everything that’s happening.
Come along and experience a program with a firm focus on Australian authors and take part in the converstation covering topics from music, to art, environment, philosophy, science, politics, human rights, memoirs and fiction.
Tickets go on sale the 24th May for members* and 30th May 2018 for the general public.
Join over 100 writers in 2018 at Byron Writers Festival, Australia's most popular literacy festival.
