Spring is just around the corner and before you know it Summer will be hot on our heels! It's the perfect time to enjoy our beautiful Byron Bay beaches. Whether you like to go swimming, surfing, walking on the beach or just want to lay in the sand and soak up some sun, the beaches of Byron Bay are here for you to explore.
Many of the beaches are sheltered from the southerly winds, offering great surf breaks. If you’re not a seasoned surfer you can always partake in a supervised surfing lesson and learn a new skill while having fun in the sun.
At Tallow Beach you can enjoy the surf or watch the hang-gliders taking off from the cliff. You might even like to book if for a hang-gliding session and get a unique birds eye view of the Byron Bay coastline?
Clean and undeveloped the beaches of Byron Bay provide a natural haven without overdevelopment and high rises.
Byron Shire boasts over 30km of beaches, ranging from popular and patrolled beaches close to town to isolated coves and even nudist friendly beaches.
