Now in its 9th year, the Brookfarm Byron Lighthouse Run offers two formats; the 10km run and a 6.5km walk. Walk or run your way through the beautiful surrounds of Byron Bay and help raise money for charity.

Under 17 is $20 (no team discount) Then from 25th of August, individual entry costs $45. Team entry for a team of more than five people $40. Under 17 is $20 (no team discount). Registrations close on 23 September. You can register on the day for $70.
The organisers take no money from the event, so all money raised goes to charity. Different charities are selected each year with half the money going to a local charity and half going to an overseas charity. The organisers take into consideration that some charities get a lot of support and they try to go for the underdog and smaller ventures. As they work hard to organise the event and the participants run or walk and pay for the event, they always take notice of what happens to the money and stay involved with the project.
In 2014 they will support the ward A7. This ward is the oncology ward at Lismore Base Hospital and they hope to raise enough for the ward to refurbish one room particularly for palliative care. Internationally support will go to a hospital in Kenya operated by World Youth International (an Australian based charity).
The Brookfarm Byron Lighthouse Run is on the 28th of September, 2014.
