Byron blesses its visitors with not only a magical holiday destination but a unique retail experience to boot!
Local artisans and crafts people, sophisticated clothing and lifestyle brands, as well as local produce and wholefoods play a major role in enticing you to stay in the Bay for that extra few nights.
Key areas to explore include Jonson Street, the Lawson and Fletcher Street block and the Arts and Industry Park.
Some of the highlights inlcude the quirky ‘Red Ginger’ whose Jonson Street store specialises in Asian foods and homewares showcasing unique imported food products, yum cha, ceramics, furniture, teas and teapots, and lots more.
Fletcher Street is home to ‘Anna Middleton Boutique. This chic boutique offers a fabulous range of fashionable designs aimed at all ages including Nu, Gran Sasso and Paula Ryan.
The Byron region is home to an array of artists and creative people. ‘The Arts and Industry Park’, 4km from the centre of town, showcases many of the region’s artists and crafts people. Shops and outlets include clothing, bedding, linen, baby wear, bicycles, art supplies, recycled clothes, garden furniture and ornaments, leatherwork, metalwork, glass blowing and etching, picture framing, surfboards, surfing gear, jewellery, furniture and antiques.
‘Lawson Street’ is a great shopping strip running off Byron Bay’s main street, Jonson Street. With small arcades including The Pier and Byron Arcade this shopping strip provides some great men’s and women’s clothing as well as surf wear, swimwear and several unique homewares stores.
The Byron Quarter Holiday Apartments are in the very fortunate position of being centrally located and therefore within a breaths walking distance of the majority of the before mentioned shops. Our refreshing pool is also very inviting after a day pounding the pavements!
