Belongil Beach stretches from Byron Bay north to Belongil Creek and beyond. Just north of the rock wall at Byron Bay you’ll see ‘The Wreck’ of sunken ship SS Wollongbar (a good surf break for experienced surfers or snorkeling spot when seas are calm).
Belongil is partly dog friendly and parts of Belongil beach are ‘clothing optional’.
The Belongil Creek is home to a colony of rare Little Terns and care should be taken not to disturb them.
Belongil Beach is just one of the great beaches and attractions you can visit while holidaying at Byron Quarter. Book your self-contained Byron Bay accommodation staying in a one or two bedroom apartment at the centrally located Byron Quarter Holiday Apartments. CLICK HERE.
