Main Beach is located directly in front of the town of Byron Bay and continuing along to Clarkes Beach.
The beach is a popular destination for holiday-makers and is patrolled in the summer by Surf Lifesavers. (But, remember to always swim between the flags and follow the directions of lifeguards at all times.)
Located directly across the road you will have access to many restaurants and cafes, including the Beach Hotel, also known as the ‘Top Pub’ to locals. Relax with a cold drink in the beer garden and enjoy the view across to Main Beach, or stop in for a relaxed coffee or meal. The Beach Hotel is open from 8am daily.
There is a small car park at Main Beach with limited parking. Best to leave your car at your Byron Bay accommodation at Byron Quarter and make the leisurely walk to the beach.
