Clarkes Beach lies between Main Beach and The Pass. It is a north-facing beach that provides idyllic conditions most of the year, though when a northerly wind is blowing it can be a little less than perfect.
Surf-life saving teams patrol the beach with an extra team put on for the crowds that the beach draws in the summer time.
The Bay here is great for bodyboarding, windsurfing and paragliding and in winter it can be a great vantage point to spot whales frolicking with their calves on their way back to the Antarctic.
Byron Beach Café is located on absolute beach frontage on the dunes overlooking Julian Rocks at Clarkes Beach.
Byron Beach Café offers a few different dining experiences. The Deck Restaurant offers superb outdoor dining with stunning ocean and mountain views. Open every day from 7:30am.
All-Day Café is the perfect place for an after swim coffee or light lunch between surfs! The café enjoys refreshing ocean breezes drifting through the large louvered windows.
The Park Kiosk is open from 7:30am every morning. Pick up a quick takeaway coffee, grab one of the signature fish and chips or treat the family to an ice-cream.
